1. DMLT (Medical Laboratory Technology)

The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology trains students to perform essential diagnostic tests on blood, tissues, and body fluids to assist in disease detection. Graduates work as lab technicians in hospitals and private diagnostic centers, managing equipment like analyzers and microscopes.

2. OT & Anesthesia

This course prepares technicians to assist surgeons and anesthesiologists by setting up sterile operating rooms and managing life-support equipment. Students learn to monitor patient vitals during surgery and ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and ready for use.

3. Radiodiagnosis

Radiodiagnosis focuses on using medical imaging technologies like X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to view the internal structures of the human body. Technicians are trained to position patients accurately and operate advanced machinery to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.

4. CVT (Cardiovascular Technology)

Cardiovascular Technology involves learning to operate specialized equipment that monitors heart and vascular health, such as ECG machines and echocardiograms. Technicians play a vital role in “Cath Labs,” assisting cardiologists during invasive procedures like angioplasty and pacemaker insertions.

5. Ophthalmic Assistance

Ophthalmic assistants support eye specialists by performing preliminary vision tests, measuring eye pressure, and assisting in minor ocular surgeries. They also educate patients on the proper use of contact lenses and medications for various eye conditions.

6. Respiratory Tech

This specialty focuses on managing patients with breathing disorders, such as asthma or pneumonia, and operating life-support systems like ventilators. Respiratory therapists are essential in ICUs and Emergency rooms, where they manage airway clearance and oxygen therapy.

7. Sterile Supply (CSSD)

Sterile Supply technicians are responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and packaging of medical instruments to prevent hospital-acquired infections. They manage the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), ensuring that every tool used in a hospital meets strict safety and hygiene standards.

8. Neuro Tech

Neurotechnology (or Neurophysiology) involves performing diagnostic tests on the brain and nervous system, such as EEGs and nerve conduction studies. Technicians assist neurologists in identifying disorders like epilepsy, sleep apnea, and neuromuscular diseases.

9. Dental Hygienist

A Dental Hygienist focuses on preventive oral care, specifically cleaning teeth to remove plaque and tartar and providing fluoride treatments. They also educate patients on oral hygiene practices and perform preliminary examinations for gum disease.

10. Dental Mechanics

Unlike hygienists, Dental Mechanics work primarily in labs to fabricate dental prosthetics like crowns, bridges, dentures, and braces. They use materials like ceramic and metal to build custom dental appliances based on impressions provided by dentists.
